There is a strong chance that a significant share of "Bigfoot" sightings recorded across Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Missouri were never Bigfoot at all. When the only cryptid a witness has a name for is Sasquatch, that is the name the report gets filed under — regardless of what they actually saw.
The tells get lost in that filing. A witness says twelve feet and it is recorded as very tall. A witness describes silver down the spine and it becomes grayish fur. A witness insists the thing was talking and the report notes vocalizations. Three decisive identifiers, averaged into nothing.
Separating those records is the core work of this project. If you have an old plains-state report that fits the profile better than it fits Sasquatch, we want it.
